This month's focus: The SELF

People who care deeply about others, often find themselves helping out wherever they can. They love helping and contributing. The problem is, they can end up feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, sick and resentful as a result of not taking care of their own needs. Some of these caring folk are scared to be labelled “selfish” and end up always taking care of others’ needs ahead of their own.

  • Have you ever wondered why it feels so terribly hard for you to take care of your own needs?
  • Have you tried to change that and find it easier to stick to what you know?
  • What is the long term effect of putting ourselves last? How will it affect us in our later years?
  • How does it affect the people we’re so fond of helping?
  • And what do we need to do in order to start taking care of ourselves?

Liesel Teversham is our guest for this episode.

Liesel is an EFT Practitioner and Trainer, and the co-founder of The EFT Academy of Southern Africa. She works with clients in private sessions and groups.

Liesel’s first book No Problem. The Upside of Saying No is a handbook for those who struggle to take care of themselves, feel exhausted and never have a moment for their own priorities.
