Chicago businesses and politics are in a class of their own when we speak of corruption but Harvey, Illinois, a small city outside of Chicago with a population of approximately 20,000 people has a story to tell that you just won’t want to miss.

In 2008, Satish Gabhawala convinced the city of Harvey to raise $14 million from bond issuances to back a hotel that was never built.

We want to thank Dr. Michael McLaughlin, the creator of Edspira.com for giving us permission to rebroadcast this particular episode.

If it has happened in Harvey, it has probably happened in many small towns around the country.
