Ariel Hyatt is the founder of Ariel Publicity, a social media PR firm based in New York. Her Cyber PR ® Campaigns place musicians on blogs, podcasts, and Internet radio stations and coach them to create authentic relationships with fans. Since 1996, Ariel Publicity has represented over 1,500 independent musicians of all genres. Her book Music Success in Nine Weeks has helped over a thousand musicians get in control of their online strategies and her ongoing blogging challenges keep artists accountable through the reading process. Currently there are 150 musicians reading her book and blogging about their experience with facing their marketing and PR challenges in 7 countries around the world. “Sound Advice” her bi-weekly newsletter and YouTube series reaches tens of thousands of subscribers and she is contributing blogger at MusicThinkTank.com. Helping creative minds navigate the confusing world of Social Media and Online Marketing is her passion and Ariel travels the world teaching masterclasses for musicians and music industry professionals. Ariel has spoken at SXSW (Interactive and Music), CMJ, ASCAP’s I Create Music, The Future of Music, Canadian Music Week, APRA’s Song Summit (Sydney), You Are In Control (Reykjavik), The ECMAs, NARAS, and The Taxi Road Rally, and dozens more. She proudly serves on the boards of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, SoundCtrl, and The New Music Seminar. Sweet Relief is a non-profit that provides financial assistance to career musicians who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness or disability.
