Security breaches and cyber threats, they are increasingly a concern for companies, governments and consumers. With the advent of the Internet of Things, smart devices are being brought into consumers' homes, and cars are becoming connected devices. Are our companies safe? What about our homes and our cars? What about our medical records at the hospital? Or the data about us and the national security information stored by our government? Is it all really secure?

Join host Melissa Birnie and her guest Dr. Barbara Ciaramitaro, Professor, Director of the Center for Cybersecurity Leadership and Chair of the Decision Sciences Department at Walsh College, as they discuss the role of companies that are manufacturing these "smart" products and whether or not they are paying enough attention to security as well as some recommendations for managing the security vs. customer convenience issue. They will also discuss cyber security in the enterprise, connected cars and career opportunities in the field of cyber security. Last, but certainly not least, they will also discuss a Connected Vehicle Cyber Security Certification course this is being offered by Walsh College.

If you want to know more about Cyber Security, this show is a must for you - on Friday, May 13th at 1:00 p.m. - a perfect discussion for a Friday the 13th!
