As we do (almost) every week, The NY Hip Hop Report discusses and recaps recent New York-area hip hop events, previews those that are upcoming, and talks about issues related to the New York hip hop universe, from mainstream down to underground.

For this, the 60th episode, show hosts Manny Faces and Steve Ortiz, of Birthplace Magazine, will recap the 9th annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, preview some upcoming events, speak on recent developments and as always, invite calls from the audience.

A topic of discussion will be: Despite our extreme advocating for New York hip hop, (and rightfully so, as the attention has come back to our area as few besides us predicted it would) there still hasn't been many CLASSIC songs from our area artists.

Tonight we ask, has there? And if not, why not?

Tune in, call in. It's NY hip hop's only all-talk radio show, and it's live at 10pm.
