NYC Indie Hip Hop Scene, #RiseTogether Review, One Mic & Trinity Int'l Festivals

Fresh off of the #RiseTogether concert at Littlefield in Brooklyn, The NY Hip Hop Report will speak on New York City's indie hip hop scene, much of which was represented at the event. We'll recap the show, and talk about the overall indie hip hop music landscape in the Big Apple.

Then, on the other end of the spectrum, we'll be talking to Nomadic Wax's Greg Schick about the upcoming hip hop festivals with an international angle, DC's One Mic: Hip-Hop Culture Worldwide festival and Conneticut's Trinity International Hip Hop Festival, both coming up.

As always, we'll deliver a few new releases you should know about, and take YOUR CALLS!

The NY Hip Hop Report is a weekly talk show, featuring discussion regarding relevant New York hip hop topics, interviews with artists and other industry professionals and invites live caller participation. The program, started in 2012 by Birthplace Magazine founder Manny Faces, has included interviews with iconic figures such as Big Daddy Kane and Video Music Box’s Ralph McDaniels, as well as special shows, including an April, 2013 broadcast live from the 10th annual L’Original Festival, a yearly international hip hop festival in Lyon, France.
