If you've been listening to The NY Hip Hop Report for any of the past 99 episodes, you'll know that we have been discussing all of the hot button issues that are currently the talk of hip hop music and culture.

The balance of old school and new. The legacy and perception of NY hip hop. Problems with commercial rap radio. The terrible state of hip hop journalism. Women in hip hop. Hip hop culture vs. rap music culture.

All while reporting on the events, organizations, artists, releases & issues in the diverse NY hip hop ecosystem.

For more than two years, we have opened our platform to you, and gave you a chance to speak your mind.

It's been a great run!

For this milestone, we welcome a guest who helps makes our 100th episode feel so special. An artist/advocate who is speaking about these very same issues, through his music & multiple interview appearances, constantly dropping jewels.

Now, he'll join us, the show that uniquely represents New York City hip hop like no other.

Please join us as we welcome Queensbridge veteran, Cormega, fresh off the release of his highly acclaimed album, Mega Philosophy, produced entirely by the iconic Large Professor.

We'll talk with Mega about his project, life & career, the state of "the industry" and its future, to try and glean some vital philosophy.

Later in the show, we'll talk to Majesty, a brother who works with several NY-based hip hop organizations, including the long-running weekly showcase End of the Weak. Majesty will be speaking about the upcoming one year anniversary of Legendary Cyphers, the weekly, outdoor gathering of MCs and hip hop heads that lights up Union Square Park every Friday.

Of course, we'll also bring some new releases to the show, and as always, take your calls.

Tune in, and welcome the start of our next 100 episodes!
