Dr. Cecile Forte Talks about Dear Daughter-in-Law: A Mother-in-Law's Promise

Many mother's celebrated Mother's day on Sunday. Today's show spotlights host Dr. Cecile Forte a mother and mother-in-law decided it was time to redefine the mother-in-law/daughter-in-law relationship using a unique approach instead of traditional self-help/family relationship books with rules and guidelines to bridge the gap. She appealed to mothers-in-law around the country to share their insights in a positive expressive way.  The power of the participants’ words in the letters they’ve written bear witness to her theory of ultimate feminism.

Her labor of love resulted in, Dear Daughter-In-Law: A Mother-In-Law’s Promise, a collection of letters written to prospective, current and long time daughters-in-law by their mother-in-laws as a way to celebrate the beauty and meaning of family between and because of women. More importantly the tone is one of hope, love and family unity.
