This edition of Grown Zone Radio takes on the societal notion that a certain amount of fighting, abuse and drama are not only natural parts of a normal relationship, but actual proof of love! For example, we plant this seed in the minds of our children every time we tell girls that when a boy is mean or rude to her, it's because he has a crush on her. When we pass on such notions, we teach that abuse is a sign of love.

This notion is the absolute antithesis to the goal of finding a partner with whom you can establish a healthy, loving relationship of honor, esteem and respect. But if you put up with that standard as you enter a relationship, it will keep up, and likely intensify, for as long as the relationship lasts, without an intervention. In a healthy relationship, partners don't have to think alike in order to always think together.

You—and likely others you know and care about—really need to tune in to this edition of Grown Zone Radio. Join us to learn why our book Loving In The Grown Zone is not your typical relationship book about finding the love of your life (or getting great sex) and living happily ever after, but about making healthy choices that can lay the foundation for success in love and life. In the Grown Zone, our standard is not normal relationships, but healthy ones. Tune in to today's show—and say NO to the FAD!
