Suzanne Marcus Fletcher interviews internationally acclaimed artist, Cameron Hampton, on how women contend with each other at a professional and societal level in the highly competitive world of art, where rules and results are subjective and often intangible. Georgia based Cameron Hampton is an award winning international artist. She is a Masters Circle Member of the International Association of Pastel Societies, earning her Gold Medal in the Spring of 2007. She is also a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, the Southeastern Pastel Society and the Alabama Pastel Society. Hampton is ?a painter, photographer, sculptor, illustrator, and animation filmmaker. Hampton attended both Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and The Atlanta College of Art (now The Savannah College of Art and Design) in Atlanta, Georgia. She has also studied independently in Vienna, Brussels, Antwerp, Amsterdam, the former Czechoslovakia, and Budapest where she lived. Hampton is part owner of a family run art gallery, The Hampton Fine Art Gallery, located in Greensboro, Georgia.
