Journalist, Suzanne Marcus Fletcher, interviews three special guests, Reporter, Madeline Ostrander, a freelance journalist, contributor to The Nation magazine, and senior editor of YES! Magazine, where she covers climate change and the environment.  Ostrander received a grant from the Fund for Investigative Journalism to report on how California’s greenhouse-gas regulations will affect people living near big polluters like oil refineries, and recently wrote an investigative piece for The Nation which we will be discussing, called “Will California’s Cap and Trade be Fair?” Fletcher’s guest, Alicia Rivera, is an organizer and activist from Communities for a Better Environment (CBE), one of the preeminent environmental justice organizations in the nation, who will be discussing California’s pioneering, if controversial, cap-and-trade emissions program.  Bill Gallegos, Executive Director of CBE, will be joining the conversation for a critique of the AB 32 scheme currently playing-out in California's Big Oil political machinery.
