Who Told You I Wanted to Be Your Mother?

When you marry and form a stepfamily, one of the foremost thoughts and fears is to make sure that we know that we are not Mom.  We know that.  But, it made me think about Mom and some of the classic teaching philosophies Moms have passed on throughout the centuries.  It begged the question, “Do we want to be Mom?  Why does everyone just assume that every stepmother wants to be Mom, pretend to be Mom, or aspire to be Mom?

The truth is that one of the things that Mom always has to offer is her unique brand of wisdom.  This show gives some stepmother wisdom that will rival Mom anyday.
