What brain skills did you miss out on learning as a child? In a healthy family our brains receive training to provide the full range of ability to deal with life's experiences. In the midst of a traumatic childhood, these skills are often not passed along from a parent or caregiver. When we suffer from arrested development due to childhood trauma there is great hope to still learn those skills! Careful study of how the brain is trained led Chris and Jen Coursey to 19 brain-based relational skills that we all can learn later in life with practice and training from others who already have the skills. As we learn these skills we are able to help our wounded inner child heal and experience healthy ways of relating to God, ourselves, and others. Join Misa Leonessa with guests Chris and Jen on Beyond Abuse Radio and be encouraged on your healing journey!
