Now that Major League Baseball has decided what the sentence for NY Yankee Alex Rodriguez will be, what does that mean to baseball, his contract, his future?
The recently suspended New York Yankees third baseman abandoned his fight against MLB, dropping his lawsuit for tortious interference in U.S. District Court in Manhatten.
Rodriguez also withdrew lawsuits against commissioner Bud Selig and the Major League Baseball Players Association, ending his battle to overturn an unprecedented 211-game suspension in connection with baseball's Biogenesis investigation. Rodriguez’s penalty time was reduced to 162 games plus the 2014 playoffs.
New York Sports Attorney, former sports team owner, and sports contract specialist Anthony Caruso is concerned of what these suspensions mean for baseball in general.
