Your host Miguel Perez-Santalla, Vice President of BullionVault is joined by Michael Riess the head of Materials Management Corp., serving the precious metals industries for over thirty years.  They will be discussing recent government regulations and how they affect the gold and silver business and the market.


He has managed the trading operations of Fortune 500 companies, run a precious metals refinery, managed commodity futures brokerage firms and been involved in trading and marketing a spectrum of materials, including precious metals.  He has served on the Metals Advisory Committee of the CME’s COMEX (metals) division and has been a director of Columbia University’s Center for the Study of Futures Markets.  He is a director of the International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI) and has served as a director of several precious metals companies.


He has taught on commodities and on money laundering and terrorist finance at Columbia’s Business School.  He is accredited as a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and is industry delegate to the Department of the Treasury’s Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group for the IPMI. He is the author of numerous professional papers and journal articles.
