On this episode of Carson's Corner, we will continue our analysis of the issues raised in Paul Street's new book, "They Rule: The 1% vs Democracy." We will discuss the dominance of the financial sector, and how we went from industrial to finance.
Yesterday, host Bob Carson wrote this statement for http://electionboycott.weebly.com/
In 2008, I supported President Obama (although I didn’t vote, and have never voted in an election) under the belief that President Obama was the alternative to the conditions we faced at that time. Shortly after his election, it became apparent that Obama was indeed a more effective evil in advancing the corporate agenda of the ruling class. He famously told Wall Street executives, the very people that melted our economy, “I am here to help.” A wise man named Jacques Fresco once said, “Politicians are not elected to change things, they are elected to keep things the same.” Keeping things the same entails a furtherance of the corporate state, which makes life in America unbearable for those not in the ruling class. Since it is obvious you cannot work within the system for change, boycotting the elections is the most effective form of dissent. The very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again.
Bob will break this down further.
