TEXT: 2 Corinthians 13 In this passage, we have seen how Paul challenged the Corinthian believers to examine themselves to see whether they were truly a part of the house of God. We hope that this process was a positive experience for most of the believers -- meaning that, in the course of examination, they found that they were indeed followers of Christ under the influence of the Holy Spirit. However, there may have been some who had a negative outcome. Paul leaves open this possibility when he says, "Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" In other words, either these believers have Jesus living inside of them or they are reprobates.
