In his new book The Death of Conservatism, Sam Tanenhaus argues that wisdom is no longer a defining characteristic of the American right. While some of his conclusions are faulty, Tanenhaus is correct to note that the American right is not as strong as it once was, the vigorous conservative opposition to President Obama notwithstanding. DR Tucker takes a close look at Tanenhaus’ argument, and asks whether conservatism’s best days are in past years, or future months.
