Diana Ferrare-Magaldi is an American Author/Artist. She places many titles upon herself including wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. She is also a devout Christian and Cancer survivor. She draws inspiration from the Bible and her favorite authors including Joseph Campbell, Philipa Gregory, Ken Follet, Michael Connelly, Diana Gabaldon, and George R.R. Martin. In addition to writing, she enjoys a 20 plus year career as a Real Estate Agent, specializing in the Conejo Valley of California where she and her husband reside. When not writing, Diana paints with oils and is an accomplished cook. She combines these passions into her writing and has plans for a Screenplay, an Inspirational Cookbook and an Inspirational Novel (in process).

Set amidst the backdrop of the turbulent 1960s, “Looking for Davy Jones,” is a coming-of-age tale about five teenage girls growing up during the time of the Vietnam War, flower children, sexual awakening, and rock ‘n roll, as well as the challenges they face in their relationships with God, each other, boys, and their families. The most defining, life-altering moments in their young lives come from their experiences while attending a private Catholic school where they face unforgiving Nuns, spiritual upheaval, death, and betrayal.    A bond of kindred spirits forms as they set out to find true love and happiness. They search the hills of Laurel Canyon for a glimpse of their favorite music group and pop icons, "The Monkees." Their uplifting music makes the girls believe if they could just find them, everything will be alright in their own world, or so muses Diane. In their quest, they discover more than they could ever have imagined............
