ENVISION THIS: In the new holistic paradigm that includes medical marijuana, mind-body-spirit health is the biggest priority.

Our guest, Norma Eckroate, is author of The Medical Marijuana Handbook: A Patient’s Guide to Holistic Healing with Cannabis.  She writes, “As a cannabis patient myself, I have distilled information in these pages that I found essential in my personal quest to understand the herb, its various forms, and the new options available to patients. I want to answer your questions, soothe your concerns, and give you the information you – or a family member or friend – need to effectively use medical cannabis.”

She speaks and writes about many aspects of the medical use of cannabis including her own experience, self-healing capacity of the body, the chemistry of this “superherb”, various sub-species for energizing or relaxing, balancing the autonomic nervous system, product options, safety, side-effects including psychoactive effects, and legal aspects of medical usage.

Our favorite chapter is her last, How to Deal with the New Normal – Being a Patient Requires Patience.  Her guidelines include but are not limited to: let go of victim / martyr energy; remember that you are worthy; let go of the need to JADE -- justify, argue, defend or explain yourself; stop juggling so many balls and decide which priorities really matter; eat a super-nutritious diet; indulge in vitamin P (pleasure) with every meal and snack; treat yourself to more fun and joy.
