ENVISION THIS: You can promote literacy, character building, and your business all in one move by sponsoring "Books for Kids" right in your neighborhood.

Our guest, Dapo Akers is author of Robin From the Hood. He is one of the authors who writes for Books for Kids, a free book giveaway program run by Performance Strategies Publishing. You can partner with them! Coleen Liebsch of PS Publishing is also with us.  She says, “Rather than "sponsoring" books in the traditional sense, our partners purchase a $4.50 advertisement in the form of a full-color sticker inside the front cover of a Books for Kids book.  The sticker will say "This Book Is A Gift From:" then prominently feature your company's logo and contact information.

Dapo, whom we first met through his community building Feel the Ville rap on You-Tube, writes for adolescents.   His Robin From the Hood series deals with the tragic and dehumanizing underworld tales of “hoods” ruled by drug lords and corruption. This Robin, like the familiar folk hero, has a philanthropic mission to rescue his community from doom.

Other authors in the PS Publishing lineup write for kids of other age and interest levels. Coleen represents this ambitious project to get books that build character into the hands of kids and create a community bond with the local businesses that sponsor those books.
