CLIMATE CHANGE IS HEATING UP: CENTRAL MAINE FOLKS SPEAK OUT

ENVISION THIS:  Helping 350.org encourage world leaders to address climate change meaningfully

2015 is on track to be the hottest year in recorded history. Yet momentum is growing to stop this climate change crisis. Political and religious leaders are beginning to get the message that ordinary folks and scientists have been voicing for years.

We are helping 350.org carry this momentum to the global gathering of governments at the Paris climate change talks — and beyond. We have invited folks in the Central Maine area to meet with concerned neighbors and speak out about climate change on Envision This!  We are the voice of the visionary people who want to create a resilient future for the Earth and all our descendents.

Our broadcast will follow a “Power Through Paris” workshop sponsored by 350.org that will help us build energy, learn how movements build momentum, and lay out 350’s plans of “Power Through Paris”—including how we’re planning now to escalate after the Paris climate talks, regardless of their outcome.  We anticipate that many of our neighbors will have powerful views on climate change.
