[Encore Presentation: Pre-recorded. Do not call in.] In Cuba, North Korea, Sudan, Iran and Pakistan, Christians are suffering persecutions this Christmas-time. Some of these stinking hell-holes are not even fit to be called prisons, at least by American standards. Are you thankful to Jesus at Christmas? One way you can show that thanks is to minister to Him in prisons around the world through your prayers, your letter-writing, and your general increased awareness of His peoples' condition. Matthew 25 recalls the saints at the Last Judgment saying: " '... when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to Me.' " Hebrews 13 tells us as well: "Remember the prisoners as if chained with them [and] those who are mistreated ..." This Thursday, we'll be discussing the current persecution of Christ's people in persecuting nations, some of whose governments are actually receiving financial aid via the U.S. State Department. We'll also be praying on the air, for some of these people. You need to know what's going on and what you can do about it, for Christ's sake. So tune in and take notes, with your host Rev. Rick Anderson, on "Jewish Roots", each Thursday at 9:30 to 10:30 pm EST.
