The Hookup Culture
Most everyone today knows or uses the word “Hook-up”. But for some it’s just a way of saying you want to get together and have a good time; maybe see a movie, grab a bite to eat, or just meet up to catch-up on what’s going on with each other. However, there are some who specifically use the term as way of saying, “I just wanna have sex”.
“Hook-up” or “Hookup Culture” relates to someone who accepts and encourages casual sexual encounters, including one-night stands and other related activity, which focus on physical pleasure without necessarily including emotional bonding or long-term commitment.
On this episode of Hot Topics Talk Radio, the discussion will be today’s “hookup culture” vs. the lack of people forming committed relationships, as well as sabotaging what may lead to a formidable relationship.
