Pamela McLean, Ph.D., MCC has over 35 years of experience as a clinical psychologist, executive coach, and leader in the field of coaching. As CEO and co-founder of one of the earliest and eminent coaching schools to emerge in the 90's—Hudson Institute of Coaching. McLean oversees all of Hudson's coaching programs and services, and is committed to excellence in developing highly skilled coaches with a focus on coaching theory, current research and best practices.
 
In addition to The Completely Revised Handbook of Coaching, McLean is the author and co-author with her colleague and partner Frederic Hudson, Ph.D., of several books, articles and chapters focused on coaching, human development and transformational learning. One of the most popular books is the well-known book on transition and change, LifeLaunch: A Passionate Guide to the Rest of Your Life.
 
Her passion surrounds issues related to how we develop and change as adults within the systems of work and life.  Mclean is also passionate about women's issues and civic engagement and currently chairs the Planned Parenthood Board of the Central Coast of California and serves on the board of San Francisco-based, likeminded.org, a social tool cultivating best practices in non-profits and government organizations.
