New York State Library 1911 Fire, Donating Documents, and Paul Mercer from the NYState Library. Joining genealogist Jane Wilcox this evening is Paul Mercer, Senior Librarian with the New York State Library Manuscripts and Special Collections division. He will talk about the devastating 1911 capital fire that destroyed much of the New York State Library's collection and the recently-released book on the subject. He will also talk about donating your family documents, memorabilia and objects to the New York State Library and share the most interesting items that have been collected by the library in his tenure there.
