Join Jill Savage, author, wife, mother who has founded an organization on developing the home. I'm a native of Indianapolis, Indiana where I graduated from Avon High School and obtained my degree in Choral Music Education from Butler University. I married my hubby, Mark, between my freshman and sophomore years of college and by the time I graduated from college I was a mother of two. After graduation, we moved to Lincoln, Illinois for Mark to pursue full-time ministry at Lincoln Christian College. Now the Hearts at Home organization is 17 years old and serves over 10,000 women each year at their conference events. In addition to conferences, Hearts at Home has developed a line of resources for moms, and hosts an online community at our popular website. Ten years ago Mark and I became church planters, starting Crosswinds Community Church in Bloomington, IL. Mark served as the Senior Pastor of Crosswinds until he transitioned to Teaching Pastor in the summer of 2009. In January 2010, Mark transitioned out of church ministry to fully devote his time to encouraging families through Hearts at Home with me. We have five children, with two still at home. Daughter Anne (25) is married and living in Northern Illinois with her husband, Matt. She and Matt just made us grandparents for the first time with the birth of Rilyn in April! Evan (23) is married and lives in Chicago, IL with his wife Julie. Erica (19) is married and lives with her husband Kendall wherever the Army takes them--currently Ft. Hood, Texas. Kolya (16) is a sophomore in high school, and Austin (13) is a freshman. Mark and I have a passion to encourage families through our speaking and writing. You can find our speaking schedule and topics here. If you're looking for our books, click here.
