When Conrad Roy brought up suicide with Michelle Carter, he used threats and scared her. In fact, he scared her so much she felt cornered and alone. Most of us have learned the hard way how NOT to discuss death with others. Many of us have lost good friends over what was perceived as a suicide threat, or over an attempt. How can we discuss the topic of death or suicide in a way that doesn't scare others? If we are feeling deeply sad or have lost hope, how can we ask our friends for support in a way that doesn't overwhelm them?

Please call in with your ideas. And if you have a story to share, here is the place. Again, remember to preserve the privacy of others and use pseudonyms if appropriate.
