By all rights, the soldiers should have held on to the 40 Acres and TWO mules! We the People are only asking the States to set aside an acre for every year of service, rendered by the veteran soldiers, to their respective State or country, of adjacent lands, in the county where they currently reside.

If the veteran becomes disabled and is no longer able to work, the land allotment should be DOUBLED. Then other families can work the land and have gainful employment for their own families.
This is what we will be requesting on behalf of returning soldiers, from the proper and legal stewards of the lands, with the understanding that LAND can be inherited and is harder to steal than a retirement pension.
