Our guest Mary Cantando is a nationally-recognized author, speaker and columnist. A member of the National Speakers' Association, Mary speaks at national and international events. Mary exclusively helps women entrepreneurs understand the unique advantages they bring to the table. As an entrepreneurial executive for over 20 years, having personally closed sales of up to $50 Million, Mary has been featured in national publications such as O, The Oprah Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company Magazine, Inc. Magazine, and Enterprising Women Magazine. As an advocate for women, Mary is a Trustee of The Women's Alliance, an Ambassador of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council and a Facilitator for the Women Presidents' Organization. She sits on the Enterprising Women Advisory Board, and has been named the Growth Advisor of Women Entrepreneurs', Inc. As an Envoy of the US State Department, Mary is honored to speak to women around the world. A recipient of many regional and national awards, Mary has been nominated as Office Depot's Businesswoman of the Year and has twice been a finalist for Fast Company's annual Fast 50 Award. In the past seven years, Mary has written four books and developed audio CDs, calendars, workbooks, and a line of greeting cards, all designed to help women entrepreneurs. A mother, grandmother, and self-proclaimed "high-maintenance wife." Mary lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband who she refers to as "Saint John" for putting up with her for almost 40 years!
