Episode 21-De Badass Athlètes Féminines Canadiennes
Monday, October 22, 2012 8:30pm EST
This week’s episode brings us 3 athletes with a lot in common.
They are all female, they all live in Canada, they all speak multiple languages, and chances are, they have flown past you on a recent obstacle course, marathon, or mud run.
Leyla Ester Di Cori lives in Ottawa. As a young woman she competed internationally as a fencer. Since June of last year she has been racing like a mad woman and almost always placing in the top 3 of her age group. She just won the NY Merrell Down and Dirty along with running a marathon and 2 halves in the last month. Let’s talk to her and see if we can get her to curse me out in French.
Claude Godbout is a Canadian biathlete. She has competed in Spartan events in 3 countries. She has won every Spartan race that she has entered in 2012. This includes the recent Beast and Ultra Beast in Vermont a few weeks ago. Let’s find out why she should be feared with or without a rifle in her hands.
Ekaterina “Solo” Solovieva is a Siberian born (no wonder she is so tough) and Canadian trained obstacle racer. Along with tearing up the obstacle race circuit, she is also a boot camp instructor, yoga teacher, and psychology professor. Mere mortals would want to conquer just one of those jobs and be happy.
Another great episode awaits so swing over to Tim Horton’s, grab a coffee and doughnut and join us.
