On May 12th 2000, Australian astrophysicist Rodney Marks died at the Amundsen-Scott Base in the South Pole. Originally thought to have died of natural causes, an autopsy conducted 6 months later would reveal that he actually died of methanol poisoning. Was this a freak accident, suicide, or something more sinister?
