When are subjective labels of people valid and appropriate?

"Upfront & Straightforward" Host Alan Roger Currie conducts another one of his provocative "Open Forum Discussion" topics, with this one centering on the habit of men labeling women (e.g., "bitch," "ho," "slut," etc.) and the similar habit of women labeling men (e.g., "jerk," "asshole," "dog," etc.)  Are highly subjective labels ever appropriate and/or valid?
