Film critic Betty Jo Tucker reviews Whiplash, Boyhood, Out of the Dark and other films that motivated her to write poems about them. The first two movies recently received Best Picture Oscar nominations, and the third is a suspenseful horror release which opened February 27. Time permitting, the following movies will also be covered during this episode: Amercan Sniper, Big Eyes, White Bird in a Blizzard, The Zero Theorem,  3 Holes and a Smoking Gun, and Gosford Park.

I’m trying to be more creative with my reviews, Betty Jo explains. Surprisingly, my film poems are resulting in more feedback, which makes me very happy.

Producer Nikki Starr joins Betty Jo as co-host for this unusual show. Listeners can expect to enjoy Nikki’s lively, candid, and perceptive reactions to the film poems presented. Nikki and Betty Jo also discuss the career of the legendary Leonard Nimoy.
