Denise Hartley was born in Oakdale, CA; lived in the art community of Three Rivers, CA for 22 years, studied art in NYC at the Art Students League, and lived on the island of Kauai. She currently lives in Santa Barbara, CA.

Denise holds a BA in Fine Art, and Philosophy (Religion) and a MA degree in Fine Art, New Media.

Denise's most recent paintings, Douglas Creek, Nobe Young Falls and Pink Orchid are very realistic. Her older paintings are on wood panels, mixed media, 4'x6'. They are in private collections.
