Keeping it Real is our Wednesday night service.
Its a more thought provoking, serious time, of Keeping things real.
Keeping it real is something that Randy Jackson, the former judge of American Idol, used to say. When he was going to judge a performance, he would often preface it with “Just Keeping it Real”. Especially if the judgement he was about to pronounce was not really good news.
Keeping it Real is a concept that we all need to use. Too often we say what we think the other person wants to hear because we are afraid of hurting their feelings. We use these little white lies because we fear that if we tell the truth, we might make the other person feel bad.
This is even more prevalent in the Christian community.
Jesus did not pull punches! He did not make up half truths because he was afraid of hurting someone feelings. He told people the truth even if it hurt because he knew it was what they really needed to hear.
Even if the truth hurts, which will pass, its far better that a lie, that they might live out for months, years, or even the rest of their life because no one in their lives were brave enough to tell them the truth.
Keeping it Real is our Wednesday service where we will tell the truth even if it hurts. We will discuss things like Divorce, Marriage, Sex, ography, Adultery, Mental Illness, and many other subjects that is taboo in the Church.
Come join us and be set free with the truth and
BE THE CHURCH!
