Celebrity Designer & Stylist Perry Varner is the author of “The Perfect Pair”, a fictional narrative based in the 1980’s a hidden era of segregation that follows three decades of brown boys & girls as they dare to dream.

Varner socialized with tons of fashion insiders including; Supermodels Tyra Banks and Beverly Johnson, Model Tyson Beckford, Stylist June Ambrose, Lloyd Boston and Vogue Contributor Bethanne Hardison at some of New York’s most exclusive events like New York Fashion Week, Harlem Fashion Row and the Alexander McQueen Exhibit at New York’s famed Metropolitan Museum of Art. He discovered on this spiritual journey of self-discovery, that there is a beautifully complex relationship between People of Color & the American Fashion Industry, through the Eras of Black Style, to the consciously well-dressed leaders of the Civil Rights Movement, and the soulfully stylish inspiration of Soul Train & Ebony Fashion Fair Show, to the impactful role that fashion plays at HBCU’s, and countless unsung Black Designers & Models around the world experiencing their dream deferred with incomparable fashion.
