Claudia founded and led stone circles (www.stonecircles.org) for 17 years; in 2007 she and others created The Stone House, one of the country's first centers to integrate spiritual practice and social justice, on 70 acres of land in North Carolina. In two weeks she starts her next adventure as Interim Executive Director of the Rothko Chapel (www.rothkochapel.org) in Houston, TX. Her first Open Dharma retreat was in 2005 in Rishikesh and she has been deeply resting ever since.
The talk, "Riding the Wave", will explore how we can meet various experiences in our lives, particularly those that we see as difficult or challenging. Instead of jumping off the wave through various forms of distractions, what happens when we make space for both the emotions and sensations that are closer to the surface and the deeper truth of who we are and what is real? ( 30 minutes talk)
