Rather than adrenaline, we can let our lives be driven by silence, and love.

Rather than upset by life's unpredictability, we can accept the deep calling into play, into winking at death, into knowing that sometimes the best luck is when things don't go our way. We can feel the difference in people who have gone through difficulty and touched the heart of life--who have opted for life rather than the temporary illusion of safety.

With a favorite Wendell Berry poem, about a tree of course-- Jaya will speak about the journey from upset to freedom-- through soothing the alarm system and reliably giving the support we ourselves need, to gathering energy and venturing forth.

As we move from seeking safety to actually being moved by trust, we craft a wild and glorious ordinariness that is good medicine in our times.
