Chaya Grossberg, activist/ blogger/thought-leader, discusses the importance of retelling our stories after they have been co-opted by diagnostic labeling. Chaya will draw on her experiences as a blogger, author and writing group leader in "mental health" settings. She will share tips for creating a blog and getting people to read it. Chaya will also discuss political strategies for supporting each other's writing and the creation of a survivor stories blog. Call ins with ideas and questions are encouraged.

Chaya Grossberg is a writer, teacher, coach and group facilitator living in San Francisco. She has been actively involved in alternatives to the "mental health" system since 2002. She has worked with the Freedom Center, Western Massachusetts Recovery Learning Community, Massachusetts PAIMI council, Windhorse Associates, Alternative to Meds Center, Mental Health Association of Portland, Portland Hearing Voices and the Mental Health Association of San Francisco. Chaya has taught at numerous conferences on Coming Off Psychiatric Drugs including NARPA, INTAR and Alternatives.  Chaya operates her own blog and coaching business, chayagrossberg.com.
