Learn how to master self-publishing and make money! I have been bombarded with requests for assistance with publishing. So in addition to my detailed training videos (visit www.penofthewriter.com), I will be conducting monthly online chats. The one-hour sessions will include information about writing, publishing and marketing your book. Call 347.934.0325 during the chat to ask questions. Session 3 - Unique Marketing with Dr. Laina Turner-Molaski; author, professor, mom, business woman, lover of coffee and wine. Laina recently put her day job on the back burner to pursue her passion of writing. She published her first fiction novel, a fashionable romance-murder-mystery Stilettos & Scoundrels. The book was self published under Five Seas Ink, a publication company which Laina founded. Self-published books create too much red tape to promote using traditional signings at books stores. So Dr. Molaski has been doing some creative marketing by holding signings at unconventional locations. With the stilettos tie, she was given permission by DSW headquarters to hold signings at any of their locations nationwide along with Starbucks. She has done signings at boutiques across the country and promoted the book at Ladies night out events. She also recently published an academic book. But It’s My Business takes a practical, upbeat and candid look at why, as a business owner, you need to follow some rules but others are made to be broken. Dr. Molaski is working on building her social media website for women http://chiczofrenic.com/. The site encourages women to embrace their own brand of crazy and creates a sisterhood with a specialty chics blogging and offering advice in their areas of expertise ranging from money, style, relationships, fitness, etc. The chiczofrenic vision is to be yourself- shamelessly. Another goal is to make orange as recognizable for Multiple Sclerosis as pink is for breast cancer.
