Learn how to master self-publishing and make money! I have been bombarded with requests for assistance with publishing. So in addition to my detailed training videos (visit www.penofthewriter.com), I will be conducting monthly online chats. The one-hour sessions will include information about writing, publishing and marketing your book. Call 347.934.0325 during the chat to ask questions. Session 4: Query Letters and Book Proposals to Land a Publishing Deal Are you tired of the self-publishing game and want to switch to a traditional publishing house? Have you submitted query letters only to be rejected or worse yet, left without a reply? Jonathan Maxwell joins us on October 7 to explain how he landed an agent and a publishing deal. We'll talk about query letters, submission guidelines, book proposals and more. Jonathan Maxwell is the author of Murderous Intellectuals: German Elites and the Nazi SS. The book examines why so many well-educated professionals- such as doctors, lawyers, scientists, and the like- willingly joined the Nazi SS, the notorious group that spearheaded the Holocaust. His publishing house is Salt Lake City-based American Book Publishing and his agent is Georgina Scott Orr from New York-based the WL Agency. Jonathan holds a BA in English from Berry College in Rome, Georgia, along with a psychology minor. He also possesses a paralegal certificate from North Metro Technical College in Acworth, Georgia.
