The Secret To More! - Part 5: "Less Labor, More Rest!"

"Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." ~ Matthew 11:28-30

Today, I invite you to join God on the right side of His perspective concerning the matters of your life that matters most to you and to God. The matter that I want to call your attention to in this teaching is the matter of time. There is no more precious commodity that any of us have than time. What makes it so particularly precious is that none of us knows for certain just how much time we ultimately have. You can count your money, your cars, your houses, your clothes and shoes. You can even count your friends, your family and your children. But time? The Bible describes our lives as little more than a vapor that is here today and gone tomorrow. None of us should waste a single moment of the precious time that we are given. Yet that is what most of us wake up to another day to do each and every work day of our lives: waste more time. What a shame, if your work is a waste of time, talent and God-potential.

Consider the amount of time you spend at work, preparing for work, commuting to and from work. The preponderance of the days of your life are likely to be engaged in work of some kind. I want to encourage you today to make it the right kind of work; the work that God has sovereignly assigned for you to do. What's amazing is that if we aren't careful, you'll waste your entire adult life working in the wrong assignment to afford all the wrong things. But to our delight, God has an app for that! The new life He's calling you into calls you out of your labor and into His rest. Let's explore an alternative lifestyle that awaits you right now!
