Bernell Hooker, a noted women's and girls basketball coach for over 25 years, is the tireless Founder/CEO of Images of Us (IOU) Sports, a non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of girls and women via the medium of sport. IOU Sports specifically provides workshops, scholarships, internships, employment opportunities, skill and leadership development, mentoring, and more, to its enrollees. Ever dedicated to program excellence and exemplary leadership, among numerous distinctions, Ms. Hooker has been the recipient of the Judy Sweet Spirit Award from the NCAA Women's Coaches Academy (2006); the Presidential Award from the National Association of Girls and Women in Sports (2007), and the Women .Who Make a Difference Award (Ladies of Distinction, Inc., 2011).
