Dejeanette has been deeply involved in the sport in every aspect since she started playing at 7 years of age. Since that time, her passion and love for the sport has grown exponentially and now she and the sport are inseparable. She had an accomplished high school, collegiate and professional career playing in Spain, Switzerland, and Portugal. She graduated with a Bachelors in Communication from the University of Illinois-Chicago and a Masters of Education, Athletic Administration from Northcentral University. She used her experience and education to start her own nonprofit organization, Future Hoopers of America 7 years ago. Through her organization, she created her Best of the Best “Sensational 60” Showcase which is now one of the top and most exclusive, invitation only girls basketball events in the country. She authored her book “Recruitbits: Tips to Help Kids, Parents and Coaches Navigate the World of Amateur Basketball” which will prayerfully be released by spring of 2018. And last, but not least, she is working on a great docu-series highlighting the journeys of women who have achieved success in the four major industries of sports, business, entertainment, and fashion.
