PPTS 2018-21 May 6, 2018: At What Cost Democracy?

Journalists, Players, Witnesses, Perpetrators and Bystanders are important parts of the coming storm. Which are you, Citizen?? You may be any one, or some combination of roles to play in the coming storm that Americans, and democracy will necessarily encounter--but not necessarily endure intact. 

Notice anything missing in that list?

This is not a political issue. Parties don't count--unless you can clearly identify the methodologies and strategies employed against the storm. This is a national emergency, and it requires citizen, period. Every day we avoid the painful process of recovery to some, other, better reflection of who it is we determine ourselves to be as a nation, you can simply calculate one decade for that change to be effected. 

That is a rough estimate, and it is mine. We have never been here before, but we do have relevant history that can inform our estimates. History is never, ever about what was. History is always about what is, as seen through the eyes of the "winners". There are presently several possible ways of writing our own future history, and we are the authors. What will YOU say? How will YOU answer? Will we have even so much as an opportunity, in our lifetimes, to do so?
