The NFL Hall of Fame induction ceremony is one of the most exciting times for former players. The weekend is filled with the gold jacket presentation and followed by the induction ceremony. The weekend traditionally ends with the Hall of Fame game. This year the Green Bay Packers; represented by HOF quarterback Brett Favre, were to play the Indianapolis Colts; represented by Super Bowl winning coach Tony Dungy.

Hours before the game, players and coaches were not impressed by the field conditions. The field was so poor that the NFL cancelled the game, due to player safety concerns. The right move; in lieu, that both teams still have four pre-season games left. There is no reason to risk a season ending injury to any player. However, is the NFL totally to blame? Should the groundskeeping crew get any of the blame? Cancelling the game itself is not a big deal to the players, but it was a big deal to the thousands of fans that planned on watching their favorite teams and catching a glimpse of the 2016 NFL HOF class. For some, it may have been their first NFL experience, for others a preseason game may be the only financially feasible game to attend. In any case, the NFL needs to consider how to hold this event in future years, or just remove the game from the schedule of events for the weekend. Listen in and call the show with your thoughts.
