Counseling psychologists  Apostle, Terry Dixon, Ph.D. and  Michelle Edmonds, M.A., M.Ed.,discuss issues facing the African American male of today.  Part III is a continuation on  communication skills and intimacy.

Contrary to popular belief, the Black male is very accustomed to laboring and in fact, that may be the root challenge with their ability to communicate in relationships. They have learned to value  action over talking and feelings. Women, on the other hand, devalue labor and want more talking, feeling and emotion. This profound difference exists between all men and women but is even more profound for the Black man, who has been historically trained (and valued) to perform.

The series is in honor of all Black men, specifically,  Black History month in the US and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, globally
