For truly superior SEO design you need to take into account two basic areas of SEO. The first and foremost is the on-page factors and the second is the off-page factors. On-page factors are what is specifically addressed in SEO web design, like the metadata, header tags and keyword rich content. There is also a trend in the SEO web design industry to pay closer attention to site structure, code to text ratios, advanced metadata and other less well known factors that while not extremely important on their own, when added all together can produce startling results! Off-page factors are generally speaking better known as most of them haven't really changed much over the years. Quality backlinks with appropriate anchor text still rule off-page factors. Achieving superior SEO results requires both on-page and off-page factors to be addressed. If you only address one, or address one incompletely, then you may not get the results you desire, and you definitely will slow your growth on the search engines for your targeted keywords.
