MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS: Prisoners Who Need Help Ignored

Not surprising that many prisoners are mentally ill.  But what is shocking is that most don't get the help they need and end up on a continuing spiral downward into a life of imprisonment or homelessness.  Society is therefore contiually put at risk when the untreated mentally ill are released only to commit crimes again.  The viscious cycle of incarceration and wasted tax dollars as the mentally ill go ignored in and out of prison.
